About the workshop:
“A masterclass dedicated to learning the art and magic of wild fire making, for children ages 8 - 14. We will explore a range of skills from modern survival methods to traditional fire-making by friction, taking you on a journey through time.
Understand the use of natural tinder, how to identify and harvest materials, and the different types of fire lays. Learn how to construct your own bow drill kit in the forest and master the ancient techniques necessary to bring fire to life, and a spark to the spirit! “
About the guide:
My name is Robert Fallon and I developed my company Wildnature to deliver nature-based inspiring nature connection and community regeneration. I am a unique and inspiring educator and wilderness survival guide, bringing together a multitude of disciplines from a lifetime of practices. I am a father, community leader and mentor, shiatsu practitioner.
Nature has been a passion from my earliest memories, from chomping down a stag beetle at 4 to running diverse nature connection programs for children and adults nearly 40 years later. My vision to reconnect us back to a deeper awareness of ourselves and the natural world that is our home. This fuels my infectious enthusiasm to discover our own true ‘wild nature’.
I feel my purpose is to share experiences and knowledge that will open the door way to an integral understanding of the possibility of living a healthy dynamic life in a healthy dynamic community, which is connected to Nature. By inspiring participants, adult and child alike, to take us beyond our preconceived boundaries and out into the world of the unknown, lead and guided by they’re own innate curiosity and wonder.
I am inspired by my lifelong passion to live in integrity with nature. I have trained and taught internationally, and am involved in various ongoing programs supporting nature reconnection, rites of passage and community regeneration.
Inspired by a lifelong passion Robert has trained and taught Bushcraft skills internationally, and is involved in various ongoing programs supporting nature reconnection, rites of passage and community regeneration.
